Emma is a motorsport writer and journalist from near Glasgow in Scotland. Having followed F1 since 2006, she always wondered why there weren't more women involved in the sport. Being a mum of a 6 year old daughter, it is something close to her heart. Through her work, she has always worked hard to bring women to the forefront, to celebrate their roles in this male dominated industry.

After joining the Dare to be Different community set up by Suzie Wolff (now FIA Girls on Track), she was astounded at how many women and girls wanted to be involved in motorsport either as a driver, in media, engineering etc. She made it her goal to get involved myself and be inspired by many of her female motorsport heroes.

Many of her friends in the industry are also LGTBQ, and both Emma and Downforce Radio think it is very important to raise awareness, share success and support those in the LGBTQ community who are working in the industry. Sisters of Speed aims to help bring about that change, which is a concept Downforce Radio wholeheartedly supports and we are proud to welcome Emma and the Sisters of Speed squad to the station.
