August 15, 2022

11-year-old Portuguese star Rodrigo Seabra once again stood out in the fourth race of the International DKM German Kart Championship, in the OK Junior category, considered the professional karting category of Europe, by winning finishing second at the 1,315-metre Mülsen Arena circuit in Germany.Following last weekend's extraordinary event where Rodrigo achieved his first pole position in the ADAC Kart Masters championship, the racer who carries the national colours of Portugal finished Saturday's race heats with a sixth-place finish overall, where he started for Sunday's first final. With great prominence on track, Seabra finished the first final in fourth position having raced as high as P2 on the final lap, completing the top 5 podium in P4. It should be noted that Rodrigo is the youngest driver in OK Junior and is competing with older and experienced opponents, which has given great visibility to the young competitor supported by Remax Portugal. In the final 2, Seabra started in fourth position and on the third lap was already leading the race until the last laps. Constant battles and exchanges of positions delighted the audience present in the stands. For a total of 18 laps on the track, Rodrigo led almost all of the laps having lost his first position on the final lap of the race, finishing in a brilliant P2 overall.Rodrigo Seabra thus reinforces his leadership of the German Rookie Championship where the last race will be in Wackersdorf and will be held the official ceremony of the award of the titles and where the young Portuguese will work to receive his first international title.

"I am very happy for this result and this podium! I am very motivated for the last race of the championship in Wackersdorf where I can receive the German Champion Cup. My team also did an amazing job and my mechanic Jöchen Schadler supported me 100%" - said the Portuguese star, who was very pleased with his performance at the weekend.
