Formula 1 has confirmed the dates of its pre-season tests for 2022, with the paddock returning to Spain on February 23-25 before ending the test in Bahrain on March 10-12.

The sport enters a new era this year, with brand new cars taking the circuits of F1 by storm designed to improve the racing on the track.

This means that pre-season testing is more important than ever, handing drivers the chance to get a taste of their new machinery ahead of the new season.

Teams will have six days at two circuits to test their challengers; the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in Spain as well as the Sakhir International Circuit in Bahrain.

These tests will take place on 23-25 February in Spain with the teams moving to the Middle East for the final test in Bahrain on March 10-12.

It has been revealed that the three days in Spain will feature no coverage whatsoever; meaning fans will have no coverage or live timing to watch.

F1 has stated that "content and best lap times at the end of each day" will be given to fans.

The season gets underway in Bahrain on March 18.
